The same reason why he went on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here I guess. Money. Greed. When you’ve got it you want more of it.

He bagged half a million quid for sleeping in an hammock in an Australian jungle for two weeks. Nice work if you can get it, eh?

Even when your wife is not well.
It has been reported in the Press that Sandra Redknapp wasn’t well earlier this year after suffering a bout of sepsis.

Nobody is wishing any harm on anyone. All we ask is that we all do what we can for others, without asking for anything in return. That’s what the human spirit is all about, isn’t it? It’s the same with the NHS. I mean, we have all used the NHS at some point in our lives, haven’t we?
Harry himself has had a few health scares, too, and he probably wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for the NHS:

We have a deliberately-struggling NHS under the Tories because there is not enough money in the pot to provide the excellent service that it does under the circumstances because there are tax-dodging millionaires flouting the system for their own financial ends, and to hell with who they effect. The NHS must not be taken for granted. It is there for all of us, and we must be there for it and pay our taxes to support it. It’s as simple as that. It’s not a rule where only some people pay for it whilst others don’t. Or, at least, that is how it was set up in the first place.

Of course, Harry Redknapp would say that he has been exonerated from any tax-dodging allegations. But, how deep did they go in their investigations? Did they look into his connections to the Finchley Road network, or was this brushed under the carpet as not being part of the case?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-16925280
Which is why this is all so ironic because the bosses at the NHS asked the Redknapps to unveil a plaque for a new hospital in Poole, Dorset.

Nobody wants anybody’s health affected, of course. We should be able to fulfill our dreams and live the life that we want to lead as best we can in good health. Which is why the NHS is so important and mustn’t be used and abused. It is there for all, and we must look after it. But, we must all be prepared to pay our taxes to fund it. It’s not the job of an hospital to check if someone has paid their due taxes, of course. That is the Government’s job. But, what are the Government doing about it? Nothing. It’s as if they are actually encouraging it and letting people carry on without so much as a slap on the wrist.
You couldn’t make this up.
